Since then, we’ve walked a long path.

The proposal for the OQ Block 60 Solar EPC project—a 35MWac solar plant in one of Oman’s most ambitious energy zones—was submitted after more than 40+ days of focused work. Design reviews, documentation, site visits, coordination—over 130+ documents prepared, each a reflection of our team's commitment, capability, and clarity.

We weren’t just hopeful. We were confident. We knew we had something others didn’t.

We were the only Riyada & solar EPC company that physically went for the site visit. Others who joined were giants and pioneers—but not core EPC players. We understood the terrain, the timelines, the tension. And more importantly, we understood the real value of this project—not just the financial opportunity, but the chance to create lasting in-country value.

But progress doesn’t always follow a straight line.

Our key financial backer, based in Iran, but with the ongoing conflict in the region, all communication has been lost. The situation has frozen a critical part of our plan.

In parallel, OQ has not responded to our extension request. And on top of that, they did not accept a bank support letter, closing one more door we were hoping to keep open.

But time keeps moving, and so does the tender clock.

So, we made a call.

If it’s not coming together the right way, we step back—but we don’t stop.

This isn't failure. It’s part of the journey. And while we may pause on this specific bid, our mission remains unchanged. The impact we’re building in Oman’s renewable energy sector is bigger than one tender.

We still believe:

  • New players can deliver world-class results.

  • Local capabilities must be nurtured, not sidelined.

  • True partnerships are built on trust—not just transactions.

To everyone who stood by us—our partners, engineers, advisors, and friends—thank you. Your belief in us has never gone unnoticed.

We're not stepping away from the vision. We’re just recalibrating.

We don’t just talk about impact. We build it.

Let’s see where this road leads—again.

As Oman pushes forward on its sustainability goals, the OQ Block 60 Solar EPC project stands as a symbol of progress — a 35MWac solar plant designed to reshape the energy landscape.

OQ were clear — you need a track record of large-scale projects and strong financial standing.

For a moment, we paused.

We’re a new player in Oman’s renewable energy sector. On paper, that should’ve been the end of the road. But here’s what most people don’t see: Behind our company name are people with real, hard-earned experience and the team that has executed projects in tough terrains, tight timelines, and high-stakes environments. And behind our capabilities is the support of trusted partners who believe in what we’re building.

So, no—we didn’t back off. We leaned in.

Because it’s not just about qualifying. It’s about creating in-country value, growing local expertise, and proving that new names can deliver exceptional results—even if the regardless of the imbalance.

Standing in the middle of the desert, we didn’t just see sand—we saw potential, vision, and a future worth building.

Right now, the mood in our team is focused and determined. We know what we’re capable of. And we believe if something is meant for us, it will find its way—as long as we give it everything we’ve got.

Driven by Expertise. Defined by Impact.

Let’s see where this road leads.

Oman, with its abundant sunlight and growing focus on sustainability, is uniquely positioned to harness the immense potential of solar energy. As the world transitions towards cleaner energy sources, Oman stands at the forefront of adopting renewable solutions that align with global and regional sustainability goals.

The Power of Solar Energy

Solar energy is one of the most promising renewable energy sources available today. It provides a clean, abundant, and sustainable way to generate electricity, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and minimizing environmental impact. By harnessing the sun’s energy, we can significantly lower carbon emissions, decrease energy costs, and create a more resilient power infrastructure.

Oman’s geographic location offers exceptional solar energy potential. With an average of over 3,000 hours of sunshine annually, the country is naturally suited for large-scale solar projects. This makes solar energy an invaluable resource for powering homes, businesses, and industries while supporting the nation’s sustainability objectives.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At ThinkViable, we are committed to promoting renewable energy solutions and fostering a sustainable future. As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, we provide complimentary solar simulation reports to businesses and individuals in Oman. These reports offer actionable insights into the solar energy potential of specific locations, empowering decision-makers to make informed choices about adopting solar technology.

The Potential of Solar Energy in Oman

  1. Economic Benefits: Solar energy reduces dependence on imported fossil fuels, lowering energy costs and increasing energy security.

  2. Environmental Impact: By replacing conventional energy sources, solar power helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.

  3. Scalability: From small-scale rooftop installations to large solar farms, solar energy solutions can be tailored to meet diverse energy needs.
